Manager’s Message:

In January of 2008, The Dragin Fly was launched as the newest addition to the fleet of 42 foot Maverick Yachts, fishing out of Los Sueños Marina, Costa Rica. Our sister boats, the Spanish Fly, the Super Fly and The Bite have set a standard for excellence in customer service and satisfaction which we strive to exceed.

The Dream Team Crew of Captain James, Alberto and Marcos were handpicked for their fish catching abilities, and their attention to customer service. Typical catches include sailfish, sailfish and more sailfish, marlin, tuna and dolphin (also known as mahi mahi).
 

The Dragin Fly cruises at 25 knots and has two air conditioners which cool the very comfortable salon, galley and cabin. Drinks and several courses of snacks are provided throughout the morning. Lunch, hand made sandwiches or hot burritos and fresh fruit, is also served during full day charters.

Captain George Beckwith of Down East Guide Service personally outfitted the Dragin Fly with all new Shimano rods and reels for light tackle inshore fishing to the biggest marlin or tuna. The cabinets and tackle drawers are filled with a wide variety of lures and fishing gear to take advantage of any fishing opportunities that the waters of Costa Rica may provide.

All of the Fly boats have a reputation of being “fish catching machines” and The Dragin Fly has proven to be no exception. The first two offshore fish caught on the Dragin Fly were blue marlin, and we have consistently been one of the top producing charter boats.
